Hey! Lets Make A Record

So I have been in a season of change and with change comes new emotions to understand. Over the past few month I have been writing lots and lots of new tunes that are going on the next record. I mean may go on the next record. I am thinking i’ll start posting demos to see what you all think. Feel free to share input and we will make music we all will like. Much Love

My Song-War

Let the music play play play….

It’s been a few months since I have logged on to good ol tumblr and I thought I would see what I last posted. Its funny, I called this finding myself in front of you but I have been finding myself on dark streets and in dark rooms staring at the ceiling wondering if I will even find myself. When I titled this “Finding Myself In Front Of You” I meant more for you to join the journey of my music career as I chase down the ever-allusive stardom. I released my first Ep Gypsy Heart back in February and hit the ground running, skipping, and jumping. After playing an album release show here in Charlotte I hit other cities like Atlanta, Orlando, and Dallas. I have made some cool friends like an Atl artist by the name of Tyler Lyle (http://tylerlyle.bandcamp.com/) and have had articles written on the music and me. The start of the journey has been great but the middle of any epic journey is always the rough part. Its that part of the movie where you feel like there is just no way they can survive till the sun comes up. I want to live my life’s purpose, I want to live it as big as I can dream it, I want to live in each moment and get the most out of life I can. Not the easiest of things to do because it doesn’t always work with what life throws at you, like bills, school debt, wanting to move out of your amazing grandmothers house. That stuff can block or muddy up your vision for life. Now there is no time to pick the guitar up, gotta go work one of the five jobs you got going on. No time to sit and watch the storm roll in or play in it whichever happens to happen. I am tore between a normal life and extra ordinary life. I feel that can’t be the same, so my goal is to fight living a normal life. I guess music will be my ticket to making sure that I live life with no regrets.

Much Love

Aaron Early, started playing drums at 11, playing percussion in the school band in Owasso, OK. A year later, our family moved to North Carolina when my parents bought me my first drumset—a white Tama Swingstar with Paiste 302 cymbals. I taught myself how to play with some headphones and a c.d. discman, learning a lot of popular 90’s Christian music. I grew up playing drums in church around Charlotte, in youth group, and in high school. When I was in college, my brother took a job at Threshingfloor Audio working with Eljiah Mosley in Charlotte as a producer/engineer. Working with Jake over the years enabled me to play on some projects that he was working on and get comfortable in a studio setting. Being in the studio really pushed me in my tuning, tone, and technique.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Youth Ministry from Johnson Bible College in Knoxville then moved out to Nashville to play with The Apache Relay. I’ve toured with them around the country since May 2010 and played on their record (produced by Nielsen Hubbard). I’ve played with artists including The Apache Relay, Jacob Early, Jessie Parker, Adam Reid Wilson, Rob Jones, Kinetic Worship, and Jordan Irvin Dally.
My vision as a drummer is to bring a healthy amount of creativity, while still first and foremost serving the song.
I like ESPN, Carolina Panthers, coffee, steak, Jessie Parker, Francis Chan books, and Fido.
Gear :
Pearl Session Custom Drums, 13x7 Ludwig Black Magic snare. Cymbals: 14” Zildjian New Beat HH, 20” Mehmet Istanbul Original Ride, 22” Mehmet Istanbul Ride
